How the team came about.

It all started in the year 2009 , a book , two girls and the love for animals . A book entitled 'Do You Know The Most Slimy , Scaly , Deadly Reptiles and Amphibians in the world?' I was reading this book when a girl sitting next to me who later introduced herself as Beatrice said :
It all started in the year 2009 , a book , two girls and the love for animals . A book entitled 'Do You Know The Most Slimy , Scaly , Deadly Reptiles and Amphibians in the world?' I was reading this book when a girl sitting next to me who later introduced herself as Beatrice said :
Beatrice : Hey , nice book !
Anithira : Thanks , do you like animals ?
Beatrice : Yeah. I saw a picture of this blue frog yesterday. It was pretty cool! Do you have any information or pictures in that book ?
Anithira : Sure do , the frog you saw was the Poison Dart Frog !
Beatrice : Wow ! That's so cool!
As the conversation went on , I knew Beatrice adored animals as much as I do . So we came up with this idea of having a presentation on frogs because frogs were slowly disappearing from this Earth, partly because frog's legs have become a delicacy. So, we started out small with a speech , a couple of videos and pictures about frogs and why they need our help. Although it was a really small it was a complete success and we were itching to do another by the end of the year . Beatrice and I met Khaalisah, who had come to our school from Sarawak. She is a real special person and I am really glad that I have met her. As for Beatrice, she too is special and skillful especially in computer and editing work . I am glad that I have met the both of them. We then later got to know two other girls, Mohana and Dharshini who also loved animals. Later on, we created a group name which was and still is SAVE.THE.ANIMALS . We did a presentation on Sharks, Harp seals and Tigers, all which are endangered and needed our help. The presentation went better than any of us expected and we were all very pleased after all the hard work that we put in. However, Mohana left us at the end of 2009.
This year, we continued with our team by participating in the 'You can give hope to the orangutans' blog contest. We also had an addition to our team, Almas, Sabrina Farah and Hiraniya. Through this contest, we hope we can create awareness among the public about how we can help orangutans.
